Beneficiary FAQ
What does it mean to be chosen as the Beneficiary of a WineLeague event?
- If your dynamic non-profit is selected as a beneficiary, you have now locked in the opportunity to have a ‘fund and friend-raising’ WineLeague event! We take many important factors into consideration in selecting a beneficiary, and want to ensure that our events will cater to the needs and goals of your organization. WineLeague will become one of the most sought after wine-tasting, ‘fund and friend-raising’ events. More importantly, to see the rundown of how the event will go, check out How-It-Works.
How does WineLeague select non-profits as the Beneficiary of an event?
- We first ask that any non-profit interested in hosting a WineLeague event submit a Beneficiary Application. After we receive your application, it will undergo a review by the WineLeague Board to ensure that your organization fits the criteria we believe is best suited to have a successful event. If we believe it’s a great match, we will be sure to swipe right and send you an e-mail offering to host an event! Click here for more details on our selection process.
What is expected of a Beneficiary?
- We expect a beneficiary to fully commit to the success of the event we will be co-hosting with them. WineLeague has a proven methodology and process in place to ensure that your organization will have a seamless and successful event. Of importance, is ensuring that you have the supporters of your organization attend the event! Other specific expectations of both the beneficiary and what you can expect from the WineLeague are detailed in our Beneficiary Agreement once we plan an event with your organization. Any organization selected as a beneficiary agrees not to run another event of similar kind without our consent or partnership.
What should a Beneficiary expect of WineLeague?
- We have more than a decade of experience running competitive wine tasting events. At this point, we have made all of the mistakes, and we know what we are doing! A beneficiary should expect that we will work together with them, in good faith, to accomplish all of their goals and objectives for the event. This includes planning the event, handling all aspects of registration, team tracking, and everything down to the last detail the day-of. We make no guarantees on the number of attendees, or the economics of any particular event, but WineLeague will make sure to do everything possible to ensure your organization has a successful event.
